Our long established and active real estate tax assessment law group represents both commercial and residential owners as well as various taxing authorities. Our experience provides our attorneys with a comprehensive understanding of tax assessment law. We put our depth of knowledge to work for our clients to guide them through the tax assessment process, from evaluating whether a real estate assessment is appropriate, to litigating our client’s matter through trial and, if necessary, the appellate courts. We have represented hundreds of owners of a wide range of properties including:
- Shopping centers
- Hotels
- Assisted living and residential care facilities
- Apartment complexes
- Office buildings
- Corporate headquarters
- Industrial properties
- Warehouses
- Factories
- Commercial retail establishments
- Golf courses
- The entire range of residential properties including multi-million dollar estate homes
In addition to assisting our clients in evaluating whether they are properly assessed, we also assist our clients with respect to situations involving whether a tax exemption is warranted.
Ordinarily, the initial consultation is without charge.
Our Tax Assessment Group also has a record of success on behalf of both our private and taxing authority clients before the appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. By way of example, in Downingtown Area School District vs. The Chester County Board of Assessment Appeals, we were able to re-establish a property owner’s right to challenge an assessment based upon the constitutional principle of uniformity in taxation before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. We put this extensive background and wealth of knowledge to work for all our clients and the relationships we build often extend beyond our tax assessment work. Our clients trust and rely on our attorney’s insight, extensive experience, and practical approach.
