Steve Lagoy has been issued a captain’s license by the United States Coast Guard. The requirements for this credential (Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel of Less Than 100 Gross Tons) include successful completion of a written test, 360 days of sea service and a satisfactory medical examination. This license is required for charter boat captains. Steve is the owner and master of Nora, a 36 foot Cape Dory motor yacht, which is docked in Chestertown on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. With license in hand, Steve plans to offer sightseeing cruises on Maryland’s scenic Chester River.
