Chester County Solid Waste Authority presents $1,000 to Coatesville Library

Donation honors the memory Milt Allen, former Board Member of the Chester County Solid Waste Authority, and long-time advocate of the Coatesville Area Public Library.

COATESVILLE: Chester County Commissioner Michelle Kichline and Members of the Board of the Chester County Solid Waste Authority (CCSWA) recently presented a check to the Coatesville Area Public Library as a tribute to Coatesville resident and long-time CCSWA board member Milt Allen.

A resident of Coatesville for more than 50 years, Milt Allen worked and served in the community as a driving force in the creation of the Brandywine Hospital, as a board member of the Brandywine Valley Association and of the Brandywine Health Foundation. It is in recognition of his dedication and service as President of the Board of the Coatesville Area Public Library that the Solid Waste Authority made the $1,000 contribution.

Pictured here at the check presentation are (from left to right, back row): County Commissioner Michelle Kichline; Dr. Lut R. Nero, Director of the Coatesville Area Public Library; Dr. Robert Schoenberger, Chairman of the CCSWA; Robert Watts, Executive Director of the CCSWA; Virginia Larkin Allen, Milt Allen’s widow; and (from left to right, in front row) are Coatesville Area School District students Jackson Geyer and Daniel Geyer.
