Andrew D.H. Rau

Andrew Rau has over twenty years of experience as lead solicitor and counsel for both municipal bodies and private clients. His practice focuses in the areas of municipal law, governmental law, land use and zoning law, real estate development and public education law. Mr. Rau advises non-profit corporations, business improvement districts, and other organizations with unique and specialized business and regulatory needs. He also represents diverse development interests in helping to navigate and complete complex land use approvals. A partner in the firm, Mr. Rau has been engaged as an expert to opine on land development matters in litigation; is trained in mediation services by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution; and has led state-wide educational programs addressing legal ethics, eminent domain, cable franchising and cellular tower regulation.

Mr. Rau has been named a “Top Lawyer” by Main Line Today magazine, and has also been recognized as a leading attorney by Suburban Life magazine. He has received the preeminent “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, recognizing superior legal ability as judged by his peers, and has been selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers listing over multiple years.

Mr. Rau is a member of the firm’s executive committee. Prior to practicing law, he was a writer and producer for CNN.
